After the Ice Storm
Gatineau, Quebec
This photograph was made after the Ice Storm of 1998 along the Gatineau Parkway. This ice storm had a serious effect on parts of southeastern Ontario and southwestern Quebec. Trees were badly damaged, even uprooted, hydro poles broken or damaged, power lines were broken and communications and heating services to homes and businesses were disrupted, with some disruptions lasting for weeks.
