Auyuittuq National Park Nunavut was the first National park north of the Arctic Circle and covers 19,500 square kilometres of deep mountain valleys, dramatic fjords, ancient glaciers and spiny peaks. Plants grow low to the ground and are primarily made up of lichens, mosses, and dwarf willows or smaller patches of flowering plants.
