A gift from a Queen

Ottawa

A gift from a Queen, in 1945 Princess Juliana (later to become Queen Juliana) of the Netherlands thanked Canada with a gift of 100,000 tulips bulbs for the role Canadian soldiers took in liberating the Netherlands and for the hospitality extended to the Royal family during their stay in Ottawa during the Second World War. This lovely tulip bed interspersed with ferns was planted along Colonel By Drive and the Rideau Canal in Ottawa in 1948.

Available as museum-quality archival prints, HD metal, and acrylic facemounts — every piece crafted to order.
